Back In Business After Hurricane Irma Has Passed

We are happy to report that, as of September 12, 2017, our team at Johnson & is at full capacity and operating business as usual. We are mindful of how fortunate we have all been, in our firm and our community, to have avoided the direst of circumstances as Irma lost force traveling north up the Florida peninsula. While we know many of our friends and neighbors have work to do to put their families, homes and businesses back on track, we are grateful that the storm did not become the unprecedented natural disaster that was bearing down on Florida a few days ago.

Our firm appreciates the support that we received from our clients and colleagues around the country. The patience and understanding for our predicament was exceptional as clients insisted we take care of our homes and families, opposing counsel granted extensions without hesitation or bartering, and offers of safe haven from the storm poured in from our friends and colleagues. Some of us were able to be the port in the storm for friends and colleagues who were forced to evacuate. Whether we were on the giving or receiving end of the safe haven, or just “hunkered down” with our families, we all witnessed first hand the power of community and cooperation.

We have close personal connections with first responders and utility company employees who secured their families and, as soon as it was safe, set about the business of helping our community get back to normal. Working long, hard hours, they restored power, kept our homes and businesses safe, and helped us all get back up and running. We cannot fully state our appreciation to these men and women who rise to the occasion when times are most trying.

Thank you to our clients, colleagues, and friends for your support.
